Darrell Gene Moon
Darrell, I didn\'t know about you until I was 21 years old. Or, as most parents would say old enough to know better. I found out that you were a man of great courage who had desire and strength to protect others. I wish that we knew each other when you were with us. I feel that you are with me at bad times and I see your face through my children\'s eyes. I wish that I had more of your family\'s information to know more about the father I never knew. You have 3 beautiful grandchildren, 2 boys and 1 little princess that we call \"sassy\". I love you and you rest in peace sir! Your son, Jeremy Rogers

Alan F. Chick
I was privileged to know Alan from the time he and his family lived in New Jersey. He was a good guy and a heck of an athlete in his junior high days, baseball (pitching) and bowling in particular. He had a seriousness and integrity about him even back then, so I\'m not surprised to see the commendations and praise he garnered, modestly, in public service. God bless Alan, and bless his family. One good man, my friend Alan, -- just a very, very good man.

Frank Massingale
Frank Massengale was my greatgrandfather. He was one of the first firefighters of Ft. Worth. He was primarily a driver, first the horse drawn units, then trucks. He always believed he and his horses could beat any of the orginal fire trucks. One interesting note, he was killed on the corner of Bryce St. and Montgomery. His son, his grandson, and myself were named Bryce after William Bryce, an early Mayor of Ft Worth.

Phillip, Like I said to Brian, I can\'t believe it\'s been 11 years. It seems like just yesterday you were coaching me in t-ball. Every game I played in high school I prayed that you would watch over me and help me through the game. I think about you every day. You are truly missed.

Thank you for the tribute to dad. I still wonder why Mom never received the \"death while on duty\" benefit on dad\'s pension. I think that would have been a much better tribute.

James C. Gaul
Channel \\\\\\\'B\\\\\\\' is Now Closed. JC, you were a role model and an inspiration to a sixteen year old boy who came from a messed up home. That boy came to work as a volunteer in police communications when you were assigned there - in the day, way back when, that officers were assigned to Dispatch. You helped teach him the ropes and showed him that a real police officer wasn\'t a gun and a uniform but a mind and a heart, professional, tireless, and caring no matter what the duty. Well, that boy grew up and became a police officer himself. As an officer he put into practice all those positive things you taught through example and instruction. Things about being a cop and, especially, about being human. Well, he carried that wisdom you passed along. You will be happy to know he passed it on to others and told them about you. In no small measure your influence helped him make it through his law enforcement career. An influence that stood out as a light in those dark and empty places that every police officer must walk. He made it. He survived. And he retired after three decades doing the same job that you loved so much. And, best of all, he made it out with both his honor and compassion intact. You did a good job, JC! I know --- because that boy was me. Channel \\\\\\\'B\\\\\\\' is now Open. KUQ868

Randall Lynn Fletcher
I had the honor to work with Randy about 1 year. I believe he was one of the best street officers to ever wear a uniform. He could catch criminals no one else could seem to catch. It was an honor to work with him.
