Summary:
Officer Walter S. Taylor was fatally injured in a one-car accident. The accident occurred in a construction area where the Montgomery Street bridge over the West
Freeway was being rebuilt. Officer Taylor's vehicle plunged off the construction site, landing upside down on the West Freeway. The cause of the accident was never determined.
