Well Hank....we lost another warrior this week. Losing a brother like you again in the same manner is gut wrenching. Thank you for protecting my family who are all proud residents of FW for the years that you did. Thanks even further to your surviving teammates for doing the same in the present day. I feel great knowing that my daughter and family are in the hands of FWPD when I am working overnight. Another loss like you only motivates my fellow teammates and I here at SPPD to work even harder at what we do. Please continue to watch over us all from the beat in the sky as you have since you left us. Young #112 SPPD Patrol Young #112 Sansom Park P.D.

There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you or wonder if that day would have ended up different. I have to believe this was all in GOD\'s plan.... I will never understand mostly why he wanted our kids to be without their father but I have to trust that he needed you to be in Heaven watching the streets of gold. It is almost that time of years again...Your birthday. You always hated turning another year older. I guess you don\'t anymore even though I still keep count. Your kids are growing up so fast and you would be so very proud of them and all of their accomplishments. I love you, Hank. I always will. You are forever in my heart...........RIP

Usually when my phone rings, and I know it\'s a buddy from FWPD, I can count on reminiscing together, laughing about the strange and funny things that sometimes happened while on patrol or I\'ll pray for and lend advice. Usually. On November 29, 2005, I took a call from my Seattle office early evening from a close friend and officer, D. Gilbert. With a heavy heart he shared with me that one of our own had been shot, and asked if I would please just pray. Pray we did, and until I received the message that Hank was 10-24 on earth and walking the Streets of Gold, we believed God could very well allow Hank to one day return to duty and radio in, \"I\'m 10-8.\" Tonight, I learned of the new memorial for our fallen. As I write this, my eyes are wet and a sense of awe, gratitude and pride fill my heart. Hank, thank you for your faithful service. Teresa, Kayleigh and Justin ... I\'ve never stopped praying, and always will lift you up. I know you miss him deeply. You are surrounded by some of the greatest people on this side of eternity. To the officers and command staff of FWPD ... I miss you and love you all. You are my friends. To all officers everywhere, believe that you are heroes. THANK YOU for laying it on the line every day. I love you all. My family and I lift you up everyday.
