Summary:
On July 14, 1951, District Fire Chief Harrison Henry Williams responded to a house fire at 2711 Bird Street. While helping to fight the fire, Chief Williams collapsed after suffering a heart attack. Chief Williams died while en route to a local hospital. The resident of the house also died in the fire.
Chief Williams was buried at Greenwood Cemetery.
