Summary:
Brian Collins, 35, gave his life in the line of duty fighting a church fire in Lake Worth, west of Fort Worth, on Monday, Feb. 15, 1999.
Collins was a lieutenant with the Fort Worth Fire Department and had served 15 years with the department.
He was volunteering with the River Oaks Fire Department at the time of the tragedy and had been a volunteer there for 19 years.
The Fort Worth Fire Department was aiding in fighting the fire as part of a mutual aid agreement with Lake Worth and River Oaks.

Brian, Thank you for all you did for both River Oaks and Fort Worth Fire Departments and all of the personal contributions you made throughout your years. You are truly missed by everyone, I know you are in a better place now, we just weren\'t ready for you to leave us at such an early age. There is not a day that goes by that I don\'t think about you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
